The Lao Handicraft Festival, which runs from 26th October – 3rd November 2024, is a highly-anticipated annual event organized by the Lao Handicraft Association, in partnership with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) to celebrate and promote the rich tradition of Lao crafts. This vibrant festival brings together artisans, craft enthusiasts, and industry leaders, offering an exciting mix of activities for both visitors and businesses in the Lao handicraft sector.

At the heart of the festival is the grand exhibition of Lao handicrafts, where traditional techniques and modern interpretations unite to showcase the artistry and heritage of Lao culture. The festival also features presentations and workshops led by industry representatives, craft supporters, and international guests, providing unique insights into the world of Lao craftsmanship.

A major highlight of the festival is the Charity Fashion Show, which plays an important role in raising funds to support disadvantaged women and children in rural areas. Many of these women are the skilled weavers and creators behind the beautiful handicrafts on display, and the festival offers them a unique opportunity to present their work on a global stage. The event will be graced by honored guests, VIPs, embassy representatives, and foreign dignitaries, who will walk the runway as models, joining hands to uplift Lao artisans and support this  noble cause.

In addition to the Handicraft Festival Grand Exhibition to  be held at the Lao-ITEEC Convention Hall in Vientiane, there will be other exhibits to be announced soon.

Together, these events will highlight the vibrant culture and artistry that define Laos and its significant place in the world of traditional and contemporary crafts.

We hope you will join us at the 2023 Lao Handicraft Festival, where tradition, creativity, and compassion come together to make a lasting impact.
